This recognition assumes the continuation of a life-long pursuit of positive contributions to printing and support of the Alliance.
To this end, a Code of Ethics is presented below to clarify the responsibilities of such a role.
Preamble
The Alliance has a clearly stated mission and purpose, approved by the board, in pursuit of the public good. All its programs support that mission and all who work for or on behalf of the organization understand and are supportive of that mission and purpose. You are ambassadors for the organization and our trust in you is reflected in selecting you for your service to the Alliance or recognition by one of our Honor Societies. As ambassadors, we anticipate that your support of the Alliance is mutual and will be reflected in the manner outlined below and in accordance with the values and ethics of the organization's members, volunteers, leadership, and staff.
Policy
The Alliance believes strongly that its members must uphold the highest standards of ethical, professional behavior, and to
- Hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public in the performance of professional duties.
- Act in such a manner as to uphold and enhance personal and professional honor, integrity, and dignity of the printing profession.
